Callie Rennison – Victimization Against Women

Dr. Rennison’s research focuses on sexual and gender-based violence, as well as violence perpetrated against college students, women and marginalized groups.

Barbara Zimmerman – Famous Women in Science: Navigating a Man’s World

Dr. Zimmerman spoke about some famous women in science and highlight their accomplishments as well as unique obstacles and challenges they faced in becoming scientists. She also discussed alternative fields that are attracting them and her own experience in the biomedical field.

Kelly Osthoff is a gerontologist and the Senior Director of Programs at the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado

Ann Schmiesing – The Evolution of Grimm’s Fairytales

Dr. Schmiesing is the author of the books Disability, Deformity, and Disease in the Grimms’ Fairy Tales

 Amy Javernick-Will – Pathways to Liveable Relocation Following Disaster

Dr. Javernick-Will conducts research on disaster recovery and resiliency planning; global organizational management and knowledge management; sustainable WASH systems; and engineering education.
